FILM REVIEW : DIRECTOR’S SHOWCASE : BWAKAW

This film of Jun Robles Lana was incredibly a good one. I am actually familiar already with the story of a man with a dog which has served as his bestfriend and all (from Hachiko) , but this Filipino film was done great that  it would really touch the viewer’s heart and it simply reached the deep emotions of the people as it’s I guess main purpose.

I loved the story and how the amazing characters delivered their role. A lot of fun moments were there like people in the cinema would laugh a lot and clap their hands during crazy scenes.

As for the Mis en scene, The Sto.Nino or (I forgot) the statue that is placed on his bed, covered up and that he says it grows yearly is the mis en scene in this film. It always appears on different scenes and later on given explained like where it came from, what it does and what really it is.
Everything is appreciated and yes, this is the best film for me out of few movies I’ve seen. My biggest round of applause for this!

NEW BREED : APARISYON

This movie of Jodi Sta. Maria is a good one also for me though I didn’t enjoyed much of the dead/boring scenes in it. Like there have been scenes where in Jodi or a nun would just be crying for few minutes and ok, she’s crying, she’s crying hardly, she’s hurt and all of that.
But the plot as observed is not actually the traditional plot that we used to have for some important scenes were place in the end like the revelations and the climax.
And to sum it up, it's a good movie still like the twists and the character's professionalism in acting as well.
